Important Information about Program Completion

Nursing Students

Your academic record is retained for two semesters to enroll in courses. If you do not enroll for the current semester, you are required to enroll for the next semester to keep your academic record in good standing. If you do not enroll you will be placed in defunct status. Students placed in defunct status must re-apply and repeat the entire admissions process.

Program Completion Limit: No student may take more than the below stated time limit to complete the program, inclusive of time accrued during a leave of absence. This does not include time accrued due to a seat being unavailable. Failure to comply with this policy will result in dismissal from the program.

It is the standard of the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and the Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Muhlenberg Snyder School of Nursing that all students complete the program in 150% of the program length as follows:

Track 150% of Program Length
Accelerated Track 4 semester
Generic Track 7 semester
LPN to RN Track 4 semester
Pathways to BSN Track 7 semester

 

Radiography Students

Welcome to Our Program

Your change of major will be updated at Union County College to reflect your Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Muhlenberg Harold B. and Dorothy A. Snyder Schools of Nursing and Medical Imaging major.

You register for your Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Muhlenberg Snyder Schools and Union County College classes through Union’s Web Services Student Planning www.ucc.edu/campus-life/student-planning/. See Union County College's Academic Calendar for open dates to register.

You should register for the outstanding courses on the curriculum sheet you received with your Acceptance letter.

Awarded Credits

  • If you do not have a Bachelor’s degree, you may transfer in up to 36 credits. If you are over the credit limit, then you must make a decision about which course(s) you will retake at Union County College.
     
  • If you do have a Bachelor’s degree you may transfer in up to 40 credits.
     
  • Awarded credit of courses can be viewed through Web Services. Refer to the Union County College catalog for the list of humanities electives.
     
  • Courses taken at Union County College are not considered transfer credits.
     
  • You must have a minimum of six (6) credits to be eligible for a student loan.

  • Do not register for courses through Union County College counselors
     
  • Do not pay online at Union County College for your courses. See Tuition and Fees.
     
  • When you register for classes you are agreeing to purchase a seat in each class you select, and you are responsible for payment of the tuition and fee charges. Should you choose not to begin the classes for which you have registered, you, the student, must officially drop those classes the day before the first day of the semester. Always refer to the Academic Calendar for deadlines to avoid charges.
     
  • Outstanding financial obligations must be paid in full. If you currently have an outstanding balance, you are placed on hold and will be unable to register.
     
  • For any Union County College obligation, (parking permit, library fines or parking tickets), you must pay Union County College directly.
     
  • If a student, currently in a clinical course, are not registered and/or have not paid the current Term Bill, will not be guaranteed a seat in their next nursing course.
     
  • Do not pay online at Union County College for your courses.

 

Registration Process

Student Planning is Your Green Light to Online Registration. Get started in only four steps-

  1. Log into Webservices – Go to www.ucc.edu and click on the Webservices link. Log in using your user name and password, the same login information you created.
  2. CLICK “STUDENTS” then click “Registration and Student Planning”
  3. CLICK “GO TO PLAN & SCHEDULE” at the right side of the screen where it says “Plan your Degree & Register for Classes”
  4. TO PLAN, search for courses and add them to your plan by term AND YOU’RE READY TO GO!
  • On the left you’ll see the list of courses you have planned.
  • Click “View other sections” to see all the possible sections for a particular course.
  • Mouse over sections to see them highlighted on your weekly schedule.
  • Filter courses by open classes, meeting times, days of the week, and location, then click the section that works best for you to add it to your semester plan.
  • Select classes and sections to add them to your schedule.
  • To register, click the “Register Now” button on the top right of the screen – this will register you for ALL courses you have planned. The courses will show as green in your schedule, meaning you are registered.
  • Your bill will be available through JFK Muhlenberg Webcollege Student Portal.

 

QUICK COLOR KEY

  • RED: Class is full or unavailable (you can not register for it)
  • Light Yellow (no checkmark): The course is open/available. You can register for this class.
  • Dark Gold (with a check): The course is planned, but you are not registered
  • Green: You are registered

 

JFK Muhlenberg Webcollege Student Portal

Your JFK Muhlenberg Webcollege student portal login may be accessed through www.webcollege.net/MuhlenbergCPortal. Directions below:

Username: First initial of your first name (capital letter) then lower case the first 8 letters of your last name

Username: Jcabbageb
 
Example #2: Jane Doe
Username: Jdoe
 
Password: Lower case first 4 letters of your last name and then last 4 digits of your SSN number

First-Time College Students

If you are a first-time college student (no previous college) who intends to enroll during the Fall or Spring semester, you must attend a mandatory New Student Orientation at Union County College.

To sign up for orientation at Union County College go online to www.ucc.edu, search for New Student Orientation and follow the directions.
